Old Church Galleries has over 20 years experience in framing and mounting, and we take great pride in the quality of work we produce, and the service we offer.

We frame practically anything, prints, maps, watercolours, posters, and oil paintings on board or canvas. Bevelled and flat mirrors can be made to order. We have extensive experience in working with unusual items, and in the past have framed football shirts, medals, coins, records, silver spoons and baby shoes!

Frames
In our gallery we display a wide selection of both manufactured and hand made frames, and as well as having our own workshop nearby, we work with many different craftsmen who design and make their own mouldings. This enables us to give you a huge choice of finishes either in wood, paint, metal leaf, gold leaf , and white gold leaf. We specialise in box frames, which can be lined in either mount board or fabric. Perspex, UV, and non reflective glass are obtainable on request.

Mounts
A range of different mount styles is available. From plain, to hand decorated, fabric wrapped, and gesso painted alternatives. Our mountboard is acid free barrier backed as standard (this means that what comes into contact with the artwork is ph neutral to avoid deterioration). There are different grades of mountboard , including 100% cotton rag for museum standard on request.

Professional Advice
The gallery team are always willing and happy to devote their time and attention in offering professional advice on mounting and framing.

Prices
Prices vary according to size, and materials used. An A4 sized picture framed in a simple black wood moulding would be around £25. Due to the complex nature of framing, it is not possible to include a price list, but we would be happy to give you an estimate by phone if you provide dimensions, or a proper quote if you bring your artwork into the gallery.

If you purchase a print or map from us and frame it, we offer 10% discount on framing. We can also give discount for quantity, if we are framing a number of items in the same size and frame.

Timescale
Generally, manufactured framing orders take about 2 weeks to complete, and hand made frames 4 weeks. However, we can supply an express service on certain mouldings, and will always do our best to accommodate your needs if you need something yesterday.

Conservation
We offer restoration of watercolours, oil paintings and prints, and other works on paper, using qualified restorers and paper conservators.
