A very attractive view of the Thames at Battersea, showing the church, boats on the river and Chelsea beyond. The plate was ‘zincographed’ from an original copper engraving. by J. Boydell. A zincograph is a lithograph done on a zinc plate instead of a stone. The process was used widely from the 1820s onwards for the reproduction of topographical views
Good condition. Rosewood frame with gilt bevel. Framed size 53.5 x 38.5
