Magnificent view of Westminster Abbey from the north, before the towers of the west front were built. Title along lower edge. Kip’s monumental six volume Nouveau Theatre de la Grand Bretagne was the definitive visual record of England of its time with its detailed depictions by the leading engravers of the day of castles, churches, universities, town views, and country estates.

Margins slightly chipped, edges darkened, but the print itself is clean, clear and crisp. Very good condition. Mounted size: 88 x 69.5cm.
