Attractive plan of the Dutch town of Harlem. List of principal buildings at lower right, town shield at upper left. The plan was originally published by Merian in his Topographia, and later incorporated into Gottfried’s Archontoligica. Born in Basel, Switzerland, Merian spent most of his life in Frankfurt.

Wide margins. Slightly darkened at centrefold. In very good condition.
