Beautiful view of Heidelburg from a hilltop across the Neckar, showing the old town, the castle and the hills behind. A list of the important buildings runs along the lower edge. This is one of many town plans and views, originally published in Merian’s Theatrum Europaeum that were incorporated into later editions of Gottfried’s chronicles.

Slightly darkened at centrefold. Very good condition.
