Beautiful view of the bustling town of Danzig, showing its fortifications and principal sights, with ships on the Baltic beyond. A list of the important buildings along the lower edge. This view was one of many engravings originally published in Merian’s Theatrum Europaeum that were incorporated into later editions of Gottfried’s chronicles.
