Clear and accurate map of early nineteenth-century Poland, makes reference to the constantly shifting borders between Russia, Prussia and Austria. Four scales at lower left, title at top left. John Cary was considered 'the most representative, able and prolific of English cartographers'. Tooley says, 'As an engraver he was elegant and exact with fine clear lettering and great delicacy of touch'.
