Attractive map of north west Africa, including most of the Sahara. Much of the detail of the interior is conjectured, anecdotal texts such as ‘water sweet and said to be still’ are used when geographical facts run out. John Arrowsmith constantly revised and improved his popular London Atlas and it ran to many editions.
