Very large and detailed map of Europe in four parts (each part measures 62 x 51cm). Coloured by country and showing ‘British Dominions’ in northern Germany, and Prussia bordering on Russia. Title and key to the colours at lower right. Thomson’s New General Atlas was one of the best produced atlases of the day. His ‘County Atlas of Scotland’ is generally considered the finest of its kind.
