Small but pleasing title cartouche showing at top right. The map shows the southern Carribean from the southern tip of Cuba and the northern coast of South America. Bowen was one of the leading English mapmakers of the eighteenth-century, and was unusual in that he was cartographer to both the French and English Royal Courts.
