Handsome map of the whole of Asia, accurate apart from the unexplored north eastern coast. Attractive title cartouche at lower left. Emmanuel Bowen was one of the leading English mapmakers of the eighteenth-century, and was unusual in that he was cartographer to both the French and English Royal Courts.
