Attractive map of Bermuda divided into its different ‘tribes’. Text to the left of map gives information on `the islands. Rhumb lines converge on a compass rose at centre of map. Emmanuel Bowen was one of the leading English mapmakers of the eighteenth-century, and was unusual in that he was cartographer to both the French and English Royal Courts.
