Map of Artois in northern France, with English channel to the left. Title at top left, shield at lower left. Matthaus Quad was a German cartographer based in Cologne, which, at the time was the centre for German cartography. This map is from his Fascilus Geographicus. It was printed by Johannes Bussemacher.

Very good condition. Some rivers, placenames and forests have been highlighted in green and brown and ochre.
