Handsome map of the Groningen area of northern Holland. Title cartouche at top centre. Matthaus Quad was a German cartographer based in Cologne, which, at the time was the centre for German cartography. This map is from his Fascilus Geographicus. It was printed by Johannes Bussemacher.

Very good condition. Good margins. Rivers, forests, parts of the coastline and a few place-names outlined in brown and green.
