Attractive map of north-eastern Italy, from Tuscany to the French, Swiss and German borders. The lower third of the map is ‘A Draught of the Road of Leghorn’, with rhumb lines and soundings. Emmanuel Bowen was one of the leading English mapmakers of the eighteenth-century, and was cartographer to both the French and English Royal Courts.
