A double folio sea chart of the English Channel, with depth soundings, sand banks and rhumb lines, 32 point gold highlighted compass at sea. The atlas from which this chart came, The Neptune Francois was ‘a seminal work in the development of sea atlases.’ (ref: British Library Catalogue.) Mortier published a counterfeit version in Amsterdam

Very good condition. There is some cracking of the paper along the coastline where the green paint has oxidised
