Handsome map of Europe, coloured by country. Like most of Chatelain’s maps, there is a huge amount of additional information displayed - on either side of the map there are long lists of the principal countries, provinces and capital cities. Eight scales on lower right hand corner, title along top edge. ‘Chatelain’s Atlas Historique, was a major work of its time, The text was by Nicholas Gueudeville’ (Ref: Moreland and Bannister, p.132.)

Very good condition. The map itself is crisp and clean, the lower and right hand margins have been trimmed close (5mm.) to the border of the map.
