Handsome map of mid-Victorian central London. The map shows the area from Charing Cross to the Tower, and from the South Bank to Pentonville. One of a series of nine maps that were originally issued in weekly parts in the Weekly Dispatch newspaper. Due to their accuracy and clarity, they were a great commercial success, running into many editions in subsequent years.
