Handsome map of mid-Victorian East London. The map stretches from the Tower to West India Dock, and from Hackney to Surrey Docks. One of a series of nine maps that were originally issued in weekly parts in the Weekly Dispatch newspaper. Due to their accuracy and clarity, they were a great commercial success, running into many editions in subsequent years.
