This magnificent print is a superb example of early printed colour. It was published in Alexandre Laborde's 'Description d'un Pave en Mosaique'. This book documented the discovery of the mosaic floor of a Roman villa, found in the village of Santiponce near Seville. This print shows in detail the intricate designs around the border of the mosaic.

Very good condition. Some light wear on edges, not affecting image.
