A spectacular print showing the royal procession in 1547 for the coronation of King Edward VI, who at the time was just ten years old. With the Tower of London to the left and Westminster to the right, this print gives a fabulous panorama of Sixteenth-century London, its buildings, people and pageantry.One of a series of historical prints comissoned by the Society of Antiquaries from their official engraver James Basire. William Blake was Basire’s apprentice at the time.
