The LADY JANE GREY

A portrait of Lady Jane Grey, who, against her wishes was Queen of England for a few days after the death of Edward VII, before Mary deposed her and had her executed. The portrait is flanked by Doric columns and burning urns, and below there is a throne with a crown and robes draped over it, a woman in a resigned and sad attitude sits beside it.
