An unusual square view of St. Helena showing the six rivers draining off to the North west. Rising sun at upper left, compass point at right centre, and title on banner, with cherub at upper centre. Key to place names in the upper right hand corner in French, in the lower left corner there is another key but in Dutch. This print was much copied, by van der Aa, John Ogilby and in Covens and Mortier’ Atlas Nouveau.
Very good condition. Good wide margins. The print itself is clean and crisp, dampstain to right edge, not affecting print.
