Attractive map of France, title cartouche at lower right, two royal shields above further shields in the upper corners.compass point at sea. This map, like many by the famed Swiss engraver, Matthaus Merian, is based on Blaeu’s map of the same title but a little smaller and, some of the titles are in gothic German, and the coats of arms have changed.
