A very decorative map of Germany, title cartouche at lower right, a row of eight provincial coats of arms along top edge. Compass rose at sea. This map, like many by the famed Swiss engraver Matthaus Merian, is based on Blaeu’s map of the same title, but slightly smaller and with the added shields along top edge.
