A handsome map of the environs of Paris, extending as far as Versailles and St Germain-en-Laye in the west, Neuilly in the east, Choisy in the south and Gonnesse in the north. The map shows the city walls and the ring of defensive forts nearly surrounding the city, except for the north and east where the wide loops of the River Seine protect the city. The Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge published some of the most popular, accurate and detailed of 19th century maps.
Excellent condition.
