Wonderful and elaborate map of Spain and Portugal, including the Balearic Islands, from the German cartographer Johann Baptiste Homann, who was the Imperial Geographer of the Holy Roman Empire. Coloured by regions and showing towns, rivers and mountains pictorially in relief. Coast of Africa shown on lower margin. Attractive allegoric title cartouche in upper right corner is crowned by the royal coat of arms at the top held aloft by two cherubs, surrounded on the sides and the bottom by the coats of arms of the Spanish regions, and supported at the bottom by two mermen in the sea.

Good condition. Minor brown mark near top margin, but does not detract from the map.
