Two plates on one sheet. The left plate shows a compass rose with 32 wind directions, the left shows an armillary sphere. Both plates have cherubs with navigational equipment at lower right. Emmanuel Bowen was one of the leading English mapmakers of the eighteenth-century, and was cartographer to both the French and English Royal Courts.

Fine condition. Good margins. Long wormhole in RH margin not affecting image. Ver light stain in bottom margin.
