John Lodge, a prominent London engraver, has engraved maps for Gentleman's Magazine from 1754 to 1772 and Political Magazine from 1780 to 1790, as well as for many other works. His beautiful map of South America features a small decorated cartouche near the lower right margin and the mountain landscape shown in relief.

Faint remnants of creases from folds, but good overall condition. Very wide margins.
