A lovely bird’s eye view of Bern and the river Aare running around the city. Title cartouche in top centre with two cherubs on a cloud holding aloft the city’s coat of arms which depicts a bear. German text about the city in top right corner, compass in top left and scale in bottom right. Principle buildings in the city are numbered, and along the lower edge their names are given. To the bottom left and right in the foreground of the picture stand elegant gentry in groups on hills overlooking the city.

In very good condition, despite a couple of very small rust stains.
