A stunning bird’s eye view of the northern Italian city of Trent. Principle buildings in the city are numbered, and in the bottom centre their names are given. Number 22 amongst these, and in the centre of the view, is the imposing Duomo, which played an important role in the Counter-Reformation as the place where the decrees arising from the Council of Trent (1545-1563) were announced.
