NEOCOMUM. Remenburg am See.

A beautiful view of the town of Neuchatel in Switzerland (‘Neocomum’ being its Latin name), with its fairytale picturesque spires and turrets. Three coats of arms in top centre, topped with a crown crossed through with sword and sceptre. Principle landmarks are numbered within the view with a corresponding key along the bottom. Ships sail on the lake to the left of the scene, whilst in the foreground two peasants on foot make their way towards the city.
