Fascinating folding plan of early nineteenth century London. Old London Bridge is still standing, ‘London Docks’ has just been built to the east of the Tower of London, which still has its moat. The streets of Bloomsbury north of the British Museum are just sketched in. Parts of Paddington and Pentonville overrun the margins of the map. Fully coloured; parks and squares are coloured green, important buildings in red. Scale 6¼ inches to 1 stat mile. Extent Pentonville-Mile End-Lambeth-Paddington. Title at top left. Edward Mogg was a very active engraver and publisher of London maps during the early nineteenth century.

Very good condition. Sporadic light stains. Framed size: 106 x 64cm.
