An impressive plan of this part of London, with key buildings drawn in miniature onto the map, and a view of St Paul’s Cathedral on a larger scale at the centre. Dedicated by an inscription running along the bottom to S.r Robert Ladbrook Kn.t and to William Bridgen Esq.r, the coats of arms of these aldermen are presented at the bottom left of the plan. Title in decorative cartouche to left and compass rose at centre bottom. Beautiful vignette views of the churches of ‘St. Bennets Pauls Wharf’, ‘St. Martin’s Ludgate’ and ‘St. Andrew’s Wardrobe Puddle Dock Hill’ in three corners.
Very good condition, despite a little spotting. Good margins.
