Bacon’s magnificent 16 sheet map of London joined as one. Extent: Upper Holloway-Canning Town-Brixton-Hammersmith. Title and key to symbols at top left. Scale bar in ornamental border bottom centre. Shows railways (including Metropolitan railway to Aldgate), tramways, and omnibus routes as well as parks, enclosures and cemeteries. South Eastern’s connection between Greenwich and Maze Hill opened 1878 shown completed. Scale 9 inches to 1 mile.
In very good condition overall, some light browning to some sheets. Framed size 271 x 190cm.
