CARTE DES COTES DE MALABAR ET DE COROMANDEL

Delisle was an important French cartographer of the early 18th century. He held the position of First Royal Geographer to the King. An interesting map of the southern region of India, Malabar. The northern part of the island of Ceylon (Sri Lanka) is in the south and the coast line is particularly well documented. The Maldives are shown in the west. Decorative cartouche lower right.

Good condition but some marks and light off-setting on image. Very slight browning to centre-fold. Lower corner margins slightly dark.
