Delisle was an important French cartographer of the early 18th century. He held the position of First Royal Geographer to the King. A pair of beautiful maps of Greece. One concentrates on the northern part of Greece down to Cephalenia (Kephalonia) and Euboea and the other on the southern part including the Pelopennese, Crete and other islands. A decorative cartouche shows Greek characters from antiquity and mythology on the southern map and devotes the eastern quarter of the map to parts of what is now Turkey. The northern map also has Asia Minor and Thrace (northern Greece, parts of Bulgaria and parts of Turkey).

Both in good condition, corners are slightly worn but not affecting image, small nick on lower edge of southern Greece map. Southern Greece has slight colour off-setting, and the northern minor off-setting.
