Les Étoiles; Les Comètes; Le Soleil; La Lune.
The Verve was an artistic and literary revue that was published four times a year in Paris. The lithographs come from the 1938 spring edition. They were published along side the ‘Les Corps Célestes’ text by Georges Bataille. In the text Bataille points out that our universe is spinning madly and that the apparant stability of earthly things is only illusory. Kandinsky and Masson are the illustrators of this vertiginous cosmogony. Sold as a set of 4.
