Clear and accurate map of South East Asia. The map extends from ‘Pegu’(Burma) to the tip of Papua New Guinea and includes all the islands, and part of continental Asia - Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Malaya. John Cary was considered 'the most representative, able and prolific of English cartographers'. Tooley says, 'As an engraver he was elegant and exact with fine clear lettering and great delicacy of touch'.
