Clear and accurate map of the Netherlands, which at the time of this map’s publication was closer to Belgium than Holland, stretching from France to the Scheldt, and the north seaa to the Rhine as far south as Mannheim. title at top right, three sacales at lower left John Cary was considered 'the most representative, able and prolific of English cartographers'. Tooley says, 'As an engraver he was elegant and exact with fine clear lettering and great delicacy of touch'.
