Attractive map of Africa below the Equator, with an inset showing the Horn and a decorative cartouche. The cartography shows 18th century scientific accuracy combined with a reliance on earlier sources.Gilles Robert de Vaugondy (1688–1766), also known as Le Sieur or Monsieur Robert, and his son, Didier Robert de Vaugondy (c.1723–1786), were leading mapmakers in France during the eighteenth century.

Very good condition; some light browning to the centrefold.
